On 21 July, our association witnessed the launch of the Spanish version of the CIAT book on ICTs as a strategic tool for the efficiency of tax administrations, a document that gathers the opinion of experts in the field who seek to support tax administrations, academics, consultants and stakeholders in the subject.

We appreciate the invitation of the Executive Secretary, Marcio Ferreira Verdi and Raul Zambrano, and we again extend our congratulations for these efforts in the midst of the pandemic situation to provide answers according to the experience of Peru, Portugal, Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, among other countries and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The publication contains information on topics such as why to improve the efficiency of the tax administration and the role of information and communications technology; the processing of declarations, payments and refunds; a roadmap to modernize a Tax Information System and the implementation of information and communications technology projects in tax administrations, as well as new disruptive digital technologies and services: opportunities and challenges.

This content is also available in English in the CIAT virtual library. In this publication and you can download the book in English and Spanish, for your convenience.
