COVID-19: Colombia Issues New Process For Obtaining Tax Residence Certificates

Colombia's federal tax agency has announced a new process for taxpayers applying for a certificate of fiscal residence or tax status.

The request should now be made by sending a completed and signed form 1381 digitally. The tax agency has set up a dedicated email address for these requests: 215361_gestiondocumental@dian.gov.co.

Taxpayers should include supporting documentation with their request. These requirements are set out in Spanish in Resolution 26 of April 11, 2019.
