Overview

Damián Larco Guamán, Founder & CEO of TPAdvice, specializes in international taxation and has broad experience in economic studies that deal with transfer pricing issues. He is also experienced in the valuation of intangible assets and the application of statistical methods and econometric analysis. He has dealt with virtually every type of transfer pricing issue, from the pricing of tangible and intangible property to the determination of arm’s length service fees. He assists clients with planning as well as audit issues and has experience dealing with tax authorities. His transfer pricing experience encompasses a broad range of industries, including food products, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, oil & gas, and the services industries.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Pricewaterhouse, Deloitte & Touche, Grant Thornton, and BDO leading the tax and transfer pricing division, where he gained substantial knowledge and experience. He is also a professor of finance and has participated as a speaker at numerous transfer pricing seminars.

He was part of the negotiating table between the Association of Banana Exporters and the Tax Authority to establish a single income tax. Besides he was a member of the Technical Committee for the Adoption of IFRS from the Financial Research Institute of Ecuador.
